Mr. Dave van Gompel, Master of lacquer Tokyo University of Arts and working at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, gives a very special workshop, where members and other interested people can make a decoration of laquer on a Japanese laquer Dai. After lunch Mrs. Mariëlle van Strijp, Sogetsu teacher , gives an interestig bamboe Sogetsu workshop.
Mai 11th 2022, Eemnes
End of Season 2021-2022 with two workshops in "Huis van Eemnes". Four members of Chapter Köln #126 attended our meeting. Mr. Jeroen Vermaas, Master of the Ichyo School, will give an inspiring Ichyo workshop. After lunch Mrs. Anne-Riet Vugts, Sogetsu Branch Director will give an interesting Sogetsu workshop.
July 14th 2021, Eemnes
End of seasons 2020-2021. In "Huis van Eemnes", a festive meeting with two workshops. In the morning an inspiring Ikenobo workshop given by Mrs. Els Claes from Belgium. After lunch all the members were treated by the board to a handmade vase of potter-ceramic artist Mrs. Cindy Heldens. At the challenging Sogetsu workshop of Mrs. Els Goos we all worked in the new vase.
September 2th 2020, Eemnes
Opening of the season with the AGM in "Huis van Eemnes". During the meeting we say goodbye to Mrs. Corrie van der Meer and Mrs. Jeanne Rauwenhoff, who were Board members for many years of Ikebana International Chapter #215. Unfortunately Mrs. Corrie van der Meer could not be present due to health problems. After lunch Mrs. Anne-Riet Vugts, Sogetsu Branche Director, gives an inspiring Sogetsu demonstration and a challenging workshop with assistence of Sogetsu teacher Mrs. Marion Wopereis.
January 15th 2020, Leiden
At the New Years meeting we visit the exhibition "Verstilde Schoonheid " in Japanmuseum Sieboldhuis in Leiden. For the first time in Europe we will watch about 130 Japanese etchings of Mr. Tanaka Rijohei. The etchings are from Japanes and European private collections. After lunch in the Hortus Botanicus provides Mrs. Carla Teunen, old hortulana of the Hortus Botanicus, a tour of the grounds and the greenhouses.
August 28th 2019 Eemnes
Opening of the season with the AGM ( Annual General Meeting) in De Hilt. During the meeting we say goodbye to Mrs. Mariëlle van Strijp as a board member and to Mrs. Marian Voorhoeve , who was involved in the establishment of Ikebana International #215 and who was held board positions for many years. After lunch Mrs. Noriko van der Linden gives an interesting and informative Ikenobo demonstration and a freestyle Ikenobo workshop.
September 5th 2018, Eemnes
Opening of the season with the AGM (Annual General Meeting) in de Hilt. After lunch an interesting program inspired by the European Regional Conference in Brugge Belgium. Mrs. Corrie van der Meer gives a beautiful Ichiyo demonstration and Mr. Jeroen Vermaas gives the Ichiyo workshop.
May 16th 2018, Roosendaal
End of season 2017- 2018. With IVN guide and sogetsu teacher Mrs. Rianne Machielse we are visiting the Wouwse Plantage, a nature reserve near by Roosendaal. During the walk we may collect small plants and flowers for the workshop. After lunch the "mini ikebana" workshop by sogetsu teacher Mrs. Rianne Machielse, where we make an arrangement with mini containers.
March 3rd 2018, Eemnes
Meeting in spring in De Hilt in Eemnes. Mr. Jean Brouwers gives an interesting lecture about the Japanese Kakiemon and Nabeshima porcelain. "Japanes Impressions : Art - Craft - Decorations - Symbolism". After lunch Ikenobo teacher Mrs. Corrie van der Meer gives an ,inspired by the lecture of the morning, ikenobo workshop. We make a Shoka - Shimpu - Tai.
Januari 17th 2018, Den Bosch
A New Year meeting at Kunstlocatie Würth in Den Bosch. We have a guided tour by Mrs. Mariëlle van Strijp to the exhibition "Stille Dialoog", artwork of 23 artists, like Christo, Buffet, Manzoni and Caro. After lunch we enjoyed the lottery and a mini workshop by Mr. Jeroen Vermaas where a hashi-oki ( a chopstick stand ) was made of mizuhiki ( japanese paperstrings).
Januari 14th 2017, Wageningen
A New Year meeting in Hotel De Wereld in Wageningen with an inspiring lecture by Mr. Theo van Vliet about wabi-sabi and kyudo, Japanese archery. After lunch and a mini workshop by Mrs. Mariëlle van Strijp at Het Depot in Wageningen, a visit to museum Het Depot, Villa Hinkeloord and Aboretum.
